Technology Enabled Care Survey 2023

Do you use, or have you ever thought about how technology enabled care could enable you to live independently in your community?

Technology enabled care (TEC) is an umbrella term used to describe and refer to telemedicine, telecare, telehealth, as well as mobile, electronic, and digital care services.

Technology and smart living is becoming part of everyday life and is used by us all. In this survey we would like to understand you thoughts on using technology enabled care and smart living – your experience of using it and how it could support you to live independently.

The information that you provide will be written into a report to assist Wiltshire Council to develop a strategy for their future commitment to technology enabled care.

Active Together GOGA Project

We are working with GOGA (Get Out Get Active) and WASP (Wiltshire and Swindon Sport) on a project in partnership with Community First Wiltshire, Age UK Wiltshire and Wiltshire Council Sports Development Team.

Through this partnership an exciting mix of opportunities to support disabled and non-disabled people being active together will be provided.

As part of the delivery of this project all of the groups and clubs involved will be signed up to the Wiltshire CIL #MakeSomeoneWelcome campaign whose principles of inclusive and kind communities will provide a central thread throughout this project.

Get Active Wiltshire

We have been funded by Sports England to do some 1-1 work with disabled people who have been shielding or isolating during Covid19 and are struggling to find motivation to get active following the lockdown period or would like to try something new and become more physically active.

As part of this piece of work a new Facebook group called Wiltshire Disabilities Together has been created. The group is a safe space for disabled people to feel comfortable to be themselves and connect with other disabled people locally who may have similar interests. The ImaYDiT Project

In 2017 following funding from DRILL (Disability Research on Independent Living & Learning) the ImaYDiT Project set out to find out what a ‘Good Life’ looks like for young disabled people in modern society.

Following on from the success of the ImaYDiT Project, Wiltshire CIL successfully gained funding from the Wiltshire Community Foundation to run the Festival of the Future, an inclusive community event celebrating the young people’s achievements and showing the local community that they can do it too! The event took place on 1st June 2019.

The Festival was a great success attended by over 100 people; it was a beautiful sunny day with lots going on. Well done to the ImaYDiT Project for organising such a great festival!
