Young People Pioneers

Young Pioneers are anyone aged of 5 to 18 who have either SEND needs (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities including undiagnosed), Physical Disabilities, Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities/Difficulties, Autism and other Neurodiverse needs.

As a Young Pioneer, you can share your experiences and have your say about how to shape and influence health and social care in Wiltshire.

This can happen in a way that best meets your needs.

We can come out to meet you in your local community or you’re welcome to have a chat with us at our office. You can also join one of our group sessions and/or consultation workshops, as well as finding us at a range of community events.

As a Young Pioneer, you can also get involved in Young Pioneers Sessions, sharing what is important to you now and as you get older. You can also join Ambitions Club, to plan and work towards a particular goal for the future.

To find out more about the Pioneers, please click on the “Pioneers” tab above. (click here)?

Young Pioneer Stories

As our first ever Young Pioneer, you may have seen Nathan around, joining us at plenty of events, workshops and hosting the Pioneer View Podcast.

He’s also achieved one of his big goals for 2024, getting a job at Wiltshire Council. We can’t wait to see what Nathan does next!
